The Blessed Mother, aka, Virgin Mary, Blessed
Virgin, Mary, Mother of God. It's easy to become misinformed. I was swayed to
think that Mary was no
big deal - just a another good woman. No better than the rest of us, and that
Catholics make WAY to big a deal of her and they worshiped her. Later after much investigation, that I now
understand the real truth about Mary and why Catholics give her the place of honor that they
do.
Mary was
never intended to be a bigger deal than Jesus. Jesus is the true God
and true Man, our savior. The way the truth and the light. He is the
only way in which we are truly saved, through his cross and
resurrection. Mary if understood correctly by Catholic's
is there to lead us to the foot of the cross, lead us to a more
intimate relationship with her son Jesus. She, knowing first hand
that he is the savior of the world and especially of our souls;
while she, Mary, is the handmaid of God.
